In response to the devastating floods in Nepal, I created this linocut print as a fundraiser. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the flood relief efforts in Nepal.

About the practice
My work draws from memories of people and places, as well as my experiences living between Nepal and the Netherlands. Originally from Patan, Nepal, my Newar roots strongly shape the way I see and make. I use linocut to translate these memories and experiences into images — sometimes familiar, sometimes fragmented.

Remembering a place in fragments
What happens when you try to create an image out of a place that is partly in your memories and partly in front of you? Something a lot of people who find home in many places might understand is that sometimes a home you left behind lives just partly in your memories. While the place moves on, you never seem to. You, you hold on to it.
